I’m Josh!
I’ve been fortunate to call Scotland home since 1999, surrounded by its incredible landscapes and culture. I currently live just outside of the enchanting city of Edinburgh with my amazing wife, Phoebe (you can see her below with our dog, Whisky).
If you’re not from around here, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit. Scotland has so much to offer! When I'm not behind the camera, I indulge in a few passions of my own. My trusty border collie, Whisky, joins me on adventures (although he’d truthfully rather be napping), a good flat white never fails to kickstart my day. I love hill walking and casual football, and my guilty pleasures are binging classics like “The US Office” and what I consider to be the greatest movie trilogy of all time - “The Lord of the Rings”. Oh, and if you’re up for a conversation about any of these topics, be prepared to talk all night. I get carried away…
But why did I choose photography and videography? After dedicating four years to nursing studies at the University of Edinburgh, I realized it wasn't the right path for me. Post-graduation, I embarked on a quest for something more fulfilling, more creative, and more authentically "ME." That's when I transitioned from witnessing people at their most vulnerable to capturing them at their absolute best. I try to never take for granted the immense blessing that this job is to me. Every day, I'm reminded of how lucky I am to do what I love, and I can't wait to share that passion with you through my lens.
