The Importance of Engagement Sessions

I’m just gonna say this, ENGAGEMENT SHOOTS ARE SO MUCH FUN. As a photographer, they’re like an open playground to experiment and try out new ideas. The creative juices really get flowing and I feel like my craft gets better and more defined after each and every one.

For a couple, an engagement shoot is SO worthwhile. I encourage most of my couples to get one booked in for at least three reasons:

  1. You get to know me, your photographer, better! We’ll meet up in a beautiful location, have a relaxed time taking some photos. I’ll get you to be yourselves and just enjoy each other’s company.

  2. You get to know the camera! If you’re like me, and most other people on the planet, you don’t enjoy a camera being in your face! So now imagine the first time the camera is pointed at you is on your wedding day as you’re getting ready for the biggest day of your life. THAT is why I think an engagement shoot is such a great idea. Get comfortable in front of camera before the big day so you can be more relaxed when it comes!

  3. You’ll have photos that you can use for Save the Dates or Invitations. How handy is that? Can’t decide on a design for invites? Well here are some professional, romantic photos that you can use.

How it works:

  • You get in touch about an engagement shoot!

  • We decide where and when we want to meet. Whether it’s a special location that means a lot to you both or somewhere dramatic and romantic that I recommend, we’ll get some GREAT photos.

  • We meet up for up to 2 hours and have a blast.

  • You receive your gallery in less than 2 weeks.

Pretty simple huh?

If you’re one of my lovely clients, here’s the best part: you get an engagement shoot at 50% off! So let’s do it. Let’s celebrate that engagement and have some beautiful photos to look back on.
